Higurashi
2011-08-23

A higurashi , evening cicada, sang early this morning. It is an autumn kigo (a code phrase that denoted the season) and it sings beautifully. It sings, gkana, kana, kana, kana, kana.h

We feel the turn of the season from summer to autumn by the singing of certain insects, such as cicadas and crickets. Also, I feel that we are lucky to live in Japan where we have four seasons.
